Remember and offer

The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram once said:

In all pursuits, intellectual or active, your one motto should be, “Remember and Offer.” Let whatever you do be done as an offering to the Divine. And this too will be an excellent discipline for you; it will prevent you from doing many foolish and useless things.

What does this mean?

In a practical sense- this means to remember and offer each activity to the Divine, to God. So before starting an activity, remember the Divine, and say-‘ Dear Lord, I am offering this to you.’ After the activity, remember the Divine, and say-‘ Dear Lord, Thank you for your help. Help me to remember You always.’

Simple, but effective in divinising our whole life.
