The Five Sentence Releasing Meditation

This meditation is particularly useful after a stressful day or situation. This will enable you to release tension and relax. The entire meditation is made up of these five sentences:

Slow…down.

Be…still.

Letting…go

Feeling…calm.

Choosing…joy

Minute 1: With each inhalation/exhalation do the following-

  • Inhale: Slow
  • Exhale: Down

Minute 2: With each inhalation/exhalation do the following-

  • Inhale: Slow
  • Exhale: Down.
  • Inhale: Be
  • Exhale: Still

Minute 3: With each inhalation/exhalation do the following-

  • Inhale: Slow
  • Exhale: Down.
  • Inhale: Be
  • Exhale: Still
  • Inhale: Letting
  • Exhale: Go

Minute 4: With each inhalation/exhalation do the following-

  • Inhale: Slow
  • Exhale: Down.
  • Inhale: Be
  • Exhale: Still
  • Inhale: Letting
  • Exhale: Go
  • Inhale: Feeling
  • Exhale: Calm

Minute 5: With each inhalation/exhalation do the following-

  • Inhale: Slow
  • Exhale: Down.
  • Inhale: Be
  • Exhale: Still
  • Inhale: Letting
  • Exhale: Go
  • Inhale: Feeling
  • Exhale: Calm
  • Inhale: Choosing
  • Exhale: Joy.
