The satisfying life now seems dull,
The wonderful pleasures now seem tasteless,
The secure life now seems like imprisonment,
The diversions now do not divert,
The routine is now unbearable,
A sadness without a source,
A hunger that cannot be satisfied,
A search for that elusive calm, peace and bliss.
This does not mean you are burning out
But that your soul is seeking its home;
Like the chrysalis that seeks to be the butterfly.
The tunnel is dark and deep and darkness is everywhere
But unless the chrysalis pushes through the wall
The butterfly cannot emerge among the lush landscape.
So must you go beyond the old world that you inhabit
To the sunlight path of your true world
And feel the vastness of who you truly are – the Divine.
